What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I spent it on a solar panel, a TV set and a bull. These are some of the things I lacked most in my life. Without a TV, I felt like I was not connected to the outside world and all that is happening around me. Besides, lacking a bull in a home was also an indication of hunger in our family because no farm operations could go on successfully without plowing with it. I am just expressing a sincere gratitude to Give Directly.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently, I live in a better house, I am very connected to the world and updated on everything happening around me and finally, I am food secure-I plow my farms in time and harvest in time courtesy of Give Directly. I have actually made a great step in life that if it were not transfers from Give Directly, I wouldn't have been there.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly sent us money directly with a lot of confidentiality to our phones. I am just pleased with them! And although I got a lot of improvements in my life, I still have a feeling that I am not yet where I would like to be and therefore I would plead with Give Directly, next time, to increase the amount they send to the recipients.
