What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second my second transfer on buying building materials at 34,805 KES, a sack of maize at 3,500 KES, a bed at 3,500 KES, a mattress at 3,500 KES, paid 2,000 KES deposit for a solar lamp then used the rest of the cash on food for the house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that am now hopeful of having my own homestead hence I'll be able to make my own decisions, unlike now that am staying in my boss' house. Am also having a solar lamp so my children won't be using the tin lamp for their night studies as always and I'll also be saving the money supposed to go for kerosene. Thanks to GiveDirectly.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship has been earning sufficient income from the work that I do as a caretaker to sustain my family.it has never been enough to feed, dress, educate them and sadly enough even build my family a decent home.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest moments normally start from afternoon till evening hours since this is the time when I normally come back home from working in the fields.Just the sight of seeing my wife and children well as i left them in the morning and actually sharing a meal with them makes me very happy.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means the beginning of a much brighter life for my family and I.For over two years now, I have been living as a caretaker in someone else's homestead just so I can get income to sustain my family, but now that I am going to receive this money, I plan to build my own house for my family, furnish it,buy my wife and children good clothes and to my joy,I will finally be able to pay for my wife's bride price which I have not been able to do for a very long time.
