How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life has taken a good trajectory because I have been able to buy a cow in the recent past with the little that I have been getting from the organization. I have always wanted to do animal farming for a long time coming and I believe that this is the right time for me to jump into this kind of an adventure. Currently, I buy milk on a daily basis which again leaves me with a ballooning budget every month.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal of leasing land where my husband and I can do some small scale farming over the next one year. The amount of farm products that we have been getting of late is not enough to sustain the family going into the future, that is why we need to get an additional back-up.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference for me is that I have been able to build a new house in the recent past for my family. I initially used to live in a very small house which could barely accommodate my family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Being a full-time farmer, I think that it is high time I got another piece of land and use it for cultivation purposes going into the future. I have to make sure that my husband and I save enough amount so that we can be able to get a reasonable amount to start us off in the process.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I was previously living in a grass thatched house that would leak whenever it rained, but with the transfers that we have been receiving from GD, we were able to save and bought enough building materials which we used to construct a new iron-roofed house. We are now living a comfortable life without the stress of having to gather some of our precious belongings in one corner of the house to keep them safe from water during the rainy season. We are also able to harvest rainwater which we can later use during the dry seasons and save a lot of money that we would spend on water. It was impossible to harvest water from a grass-thatched house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
We have been married for several years now, but my husband has not paid my dowry and my biggest wish is to ensure that it happens before the end of this year. We have been setting aside some money each month for the purpose of making this possible and I want to continue doing so until I can have enough money to buy some of the required items such as livestock and foodstuff to be used at the ceremony.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
These transfers have greatly changed my daily life because I don't have to depend on my husband financially to cater to my needs as I did before. I have my own money and can also be able to buy some of the household needs which gives me a sense of independence as a woman.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
With the stress of planning for the dowry payment ceremony in December, life has not been so easy as we have to really squeeze on our daily budget to be able to raise enough money to buy the requirements in good time. I hope that in the next six months, we will have gathered most of the requirements so that we can go back to our normal routine.
