What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving the cash transfers means so much to me and my family. Since it will enable me to do things that I could not without the cash because I only depend on casual work. For the first cash transfer, I intend to use about KES 18000 to build a kitchen. This is important for me because currently I'm cooking outside which is challenging whenever it rains. For the second and third cash transfer I intend to complete building my unfinished house which I was in the.process of building but stalled because of lack of funds. I plan to use about KES 50000 on this. For the remaining cash, I plan to purchase 4 goats which will cost me about KES 4500 each. This I consider to be my investment.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Over the last 6 months my happiness has come from a wedding I attended. This delighted me so much because the wedding I attended was for my close friend and relative. I felt very happy while we celebrated.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
There are many challenges that I'm facing in my life currently. However, the greatest challenge is the lack of money that has been caused by lack of employment. I depend on casual labour and charcoal burning which is not enough to meet my household needs. This has made my life quite difficult.
