Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Through this cash transfer, I was in position to rent farm land in preparation for the planting season. I am hopeful of food security in my home because I intend to cultivate grand nuts and other food crops. Previously, I suffered from food shortage because I could not even just hire farm land. Secondly, I also now rear sheep for future purposes like generating income for my children's school fees and paying medical bills.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt excited because I was going to acquire things which I never had in my house like a flask for keeping hot tea, a bed and tables.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer on purchasing clothing/ household goods ( a bed, mattress, utensils, basins, 2 pair of bed sheets, tables) worth UGX 850,000, bought solar panel including the battery worth UGX 140,000, bought 3 sheep and 5 hens worth UGX 280,000, paid for medical bills worth UGX 40,000, paid a debt worth UGX 40,000. There is a balance of 150000 which she is planning to spend on renting farm land when the rainy season starts. The recipient could not remember all items bought.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy a piece of land and oxen that will support in the cultivation activity. This will develope my family because food productivity will increase making life better. Paying school fees for my children in future will also be easier because I will have laid a basis for household income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when my children are playing. To me, it is a sign that they are healthy so I don't have to budget for medical bills.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of land for cultivation. The piece of land that is available for my household to cultivate is too small to support the family and at the same time, I do not have the capacity to buy more because I don't have mooney. What I do most of the time is casual labour just to be sure that atleast soap is in the house and children have what to eat.
