What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent part of my third transfer on paying school fees for my daughter who, is taking a course in clothing and textile in the university. The remaining I spent on buying sheep that I am rearing and furniture for my living room as the ones I had, had worn out. The transfers have saved me a great deal and I wish that GiveDirectly would add us more.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on paying school fees for my daughter who is in from three now. Despite getting engaged in very awkward deals to raise fee for this young girl, she could still be sent home for arrears and stay out of school for so long as others continue with their studies. Am grateful that today she can settle well in school and do her best to achieve her future dreams. Other than that, I purchased some building materials and kept in preparation for construction of a new house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have seen a very big difference in my daily life. Nowadays I don't struggle in order to bring food on a table for my children neither do I struggle raising fee for my daughter.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first cash transfer on ploughing my farm in preparation for next season's planting, bought 1 sack of maize for food security and spent the remaining on other house expenses.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I'm planning to spend my upcoming cash transfer on building a house because my current roof is too rusty and leaks more than a grass thatched house does. I will also pay school fees for my children and buy a cow that I can milk and benefit from its dairy products.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Our main plan is to build another house given that our current house leaks due to warn out iron sheets, secondly we intend to use part of it to pay school fees for our two children both in secondary school and college and lastly use the remaining amount to buy one bull to help with ploughing our farm.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we're proudest of is having saved some cash and bought some livestock which we later sold to help pay school fees for our children.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we're facing currently is on paying school fees for our two children, one in secondary school and the other in college. Farming has not been very supportive since drought is the order of the day lately and kills our crops.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I'm out working as a casual labourer, this makes me happy since at the end of the day I receive payment which I use to buy food for my family.
