How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I am smartly dressed together with my family in addition we are also eating well, all this is as a result of Give Directly. I bought a few new clothes for my family using Give Directly transfers and also food. I thank God we are staying a better and happy life due to assistance we are receiving from Give Directly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I have no new goal though I am currently working extra hard to achieve my initial goal of building a better a house. I have started saving towards buying building materials iron sheets, building nails, polls, etc. I believe very soon I will be in a position to put up my dream house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am able to provide financial support to my family without difficulty unlike before when we use to go to bed hungry. At times fishing business is tricky, you stay in the lake the whole night and you catch zero fish, due to such unavoidable circumstances our families are forced to go without food at times. Thus I thank Give Directly for having changed our lives.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I am staying in a small house that is why I am longing to have a better one that is more spacious and can comfortably accommodate my growing family. I am a fisherman and the little money I can from my work I use to support my family, now that I have an additional source of income from Give Directly, I have started saving towards buying building materials. I am very optimistic that I am going to have a better one in the next months.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life has really transformed tremendously. I used to struggle to fend for my family by doing casual labor though this was never enough and it also left me very tired at the end of the day. But after the inception of GD transfers, I have seen a great change, I can afford to buy cushions as well as buying iron sheets has been made easier.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I am looking forward to commencing construction of a better and a bigger house for my household. This will help accommodate my growing family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the past four months is that I have bought new cushions for my sofa seats. My seats had no cushions and this was really uncomfortable for my back. Besides that, I also bought iron sheets to facilitate the construction of a better house.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have moved to my new house and God willing I will have bought a few livestock for rearing. This will be a great improvement and a milestone in my life.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life before the transfers was a difficult one. My income has not been enough to sustain my needs and the condition of my house has not been very pleasant. It is small, very old and grass thatched. I am one of the few people in the village who have grass thatched houses and it has been a shame in my life. I have always desired to have an iron-roofed house which GD is now accomplishing for me. I had been able to buy iron sheets which I am still continuing to buy irons sheets and very soon I will have the kind of a house I have always wanted.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the four months, I wish to buy cows which I will use to pay the dowry for my wife. I have been married for the last two years and due to my low income, I have not been able to pay dowry. My in-laws have requested me severally to go pay and I have always made empty promises because I did not have the money to fulfil the promises.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference since I started receiving these transfers is that I have a goat. I have always wanted to have at least one type of livestock but due to my low income from casual work of working on other people's farm, I have not been able to have one. The little income I have always gotten is even hard enough to feed my family and pay school fees. I know with this goat, I will raise money to solve other family financial matters by selling it or its offsprings. The value of the goat increases daily and I believe it is an investment I will take care of because it can be the source of my relief.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the six months, I would want to buy a boat. This will be my source of income for I know how the fishing business, I will never go back to begging and the struggles of borrowing every now and again.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Right now getting a balanced diet for my family is always assured due to the cash I normally get from the organization. During the previous months, I used to struggle so much when it comes to putting food on the table because the casual jobs I undertake in the village do not pay so well, so I have to use budget with the little I earn even if it is never enough.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a goal of getting a new house that is big enough and can accommodate my family members very comfortably without people having to squeeze in one small structure. I will no longer be embarrassed to host my friends who come visiting because I will enough space for them by that time.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life right now is that I have an easy time paying school fees for my children. During the previous years I had to work so hard by engaging in the casual jobs such as going into the lake to fish, and adventure that is always very risky. Getting enough money to pay the school fees was never assured.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I will have been able to settle down in my life comfortable from the cash that the organization will be sending me. By the next six months I believe I will have accumulated enough cash that will enable me to buy a new calf that I will rear within the village and eventually buy more cows going into the future.
