Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I want to ensure that in the next four months, my children to continue with their education with minimum hitches and ensure the monthly loan payment are paid back timely and prudently.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that two of my children in secondary school have not been sent home for school fees thus disrupting their learning. I was able to get a loan from one of the financial institutions and settled all their school fees. The monthly transfers from GiveDirectly assist me in paying back the loan and I think this was the best decision I made. I am therefore less worried about whether my children will be sent home but instead focus on other income-generating activities.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
One of my daughters will be finishing her high school education at the end of the year. This will lessen the financial burden that I currently have. This will give me an opportunity to buy an additional cow to add to the one that I currently have. This cow will be an additional source of mil for household and commercial use and it will improve our financial status as a family and this is what I expect to change.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal in life is to practice timely cultivation this season. I am planning to use my next transfers to buy quality hybrid seeds and fertilizers. I am already done with land preparation and the remaining thing is to plant. With this, I will have better harvest this season compared to previous seasons that I have not been using hybrid seeds.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to clear paying a loan that I had taken in a bank. Due to this, I can now concentrate on investing the remaining transfers since I will not be having a loan to repay like before. Also, I have been able to buy all the needed school books for my children. Due to this, they now have enough revision books needed at school. I am now glad since they will not be sent back home because they do not have these books.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, my life will have changed in that I will have cleared paying school fees for my two children in secondary schools. I am planning to sell part of my produce after harvesting and use the money to pay school fees for them. This will enable them to have enough time for their studies since they will never be sent back home. With this, I am optimistic that their grades in school will improve since they will be having enough time for their revision without them worrying about being sent back home.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The extent to which I handle my child's education needs is the biggest difference in my life. Unlike before, I have been able to buy the required textbooks that were asked of them to support their learning institutions. It is our duty as parents to supplement the school's efforts in providing thematerials but I occasionally failed in this obligation before I started using the transfers this way. This will be of great help as they prepare for their final secondary exam come next year. I feel good that as a stakeholder, my child's education that I prioritize are well covered. The transfers have enabled met to do this much and are so grateful because my children's future spend on the education they are getting now with the help of GD.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to plant the cabbage crop that will be mature in the next 3 months. I will use this to pay school fees for my sons in the coming year. I will use the transfers in September to buy seeds and fertilizer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
August was the be the harvesting season to get maize for food from my farms. However, the crop failed because of the disease that was rampant here. This meant that my family would have to buy food at very high costs because of maize scarcity in the region. This would have lead to a food crisis in my household. However, using transfers made it betterfro use it to buy maize which has eased the difficulty of getting food.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life will have improved because my son who will be preparing for his final exam. I will have supported him well and I think he will be ready. I also expect to have a maize crop on my farm and hopefully, it will be doing well; unlike the last crop that failed. The hope that I will be having food in my family is the one thing that I cling to and know that my life will be better in the six coming months because I have the transfers to buy the inputs and do the necessary farm operations to enable me to produce food for my family.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Life has become easier ever since Give Directly came into our lives. We no longer go for casual jobs regularly like we used to initially since we can afford to buy food and dress well. My health has improved as a result of this. Previously we could do several casual jobs in a day in order to satisfy the needs of that day. This affected well being since we would work very hard paid little and end up taking only one meal on that day
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to plant short season crops. I am planning to specifically plant beans this season. I chose to plant beans because it does so well in this area because of the type of soil. I am well prepared with the inputs required and I am hoping the crop will do well. This is the only strategy I have to ensure I pay my children's school fees.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My life has changed ever since I started receiving transfers from Give Directly. I am able to afford things I could not afford a few months ago before Give Directly came into my life. For instance, I am now able to take tea with sugar. Previously, we wouldn't afford to buy sugar with the little money I got from casual jobs. I used to save almost everything in order to pay school fees for my children
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I believe that my life would be different in the next six months. I will have invested the money I normally get from GiveDirectly. This means that I will not be depending on one source of income, therefore, I will have more than one source of income. This will put me in a better place to handle life dynamics. I would rarely lack basic needs and I will be living a happy and ambitious life.
