How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is better now because I have constructed an iron roofed house, bought some goats and cleared debts. I am a debt free man. I wouldn't have done this if it was not for these transfers. Previously , I was sleeping in a grass thatched house. I had many debts, the owners of the money used to give me a lot of pressure and I was not free to stay in the village.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give me money that lifted my status. I built a permanent house and am proud of it. There is nothing bad with how GiveDirectly works.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying timber, nails and paying builders who completed the construction of my house. I also bought food, 2 goats, paid rent and medical bills.
