What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to settle some loan. Invested a portion of the transfer in rice business. I also invested the rest of the money in farming.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I'm now legally married based on our customary law. This was done using the second transfer and can now establish my own home.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion what GD does well is that it give us cash at hand and it is upon the beneficiaries to use it wisely. I wish GD could continue helping us on monthly basis.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on purchasing decent clothes for the children,seats since I previously had old ones, food to sustain the family members,paid school fees,bought fertilizer to use in my rice plantation and spent most of the transfer on purchasing cattle that my husband paid as dowry.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the new energy that I have towards work due to the farm inputs that I bought for my rice plantation.

I spent my first cash transfer on paying school fees 5,000 KES, 1 sac of maize 3,000 KES and the remaining amount I spent on school uniform and shoes for the children.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I'm planning to buy 2 cows, sofa set, 1 sac of maize and spend the remaining on food and clothes.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We're planning to spend our transfer on the following ways; Expanding our current house since it's smaller given the size of our family,payment of dowry and lastly use the rest to buy food for the family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we're proudest of is having been able to build our current house, we used to live in thatched leaking house before.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we face now is on fending for our family,the casual jobs are not much available and farming is no longer the main source of livelihood like in the past due to drought.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning after washing my clothes and making the house tidy.
