Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My living room does not look like a hall now as I have some seats with cushions and a table which I did not have before. This makes me more comfortable inviting visitors inside the house whenever I have some as I know that they will be comfortable sitting.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was around 5 am in the morning when I received my transfers. When I saw the message confirming that I had received them, I was so happy and since I did not want to make noise to my husband and children who were still sleeping, I sang silently giving praises to the almighty for his blessings upon my family. I did not go back to sleep but waited patiently for dawn to break so that I could share my joy with my family.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have been having a bench in my living as a seat and I did not have any table. When I received my transfers, I decided to use part of it in buying some seats, seat cushions, and a table so that whenever I have visitors I will be comfortable inviting them inside the house. I used the remaining amount in buying a cow as a way of saving this money as having them in Mpesa is more tempting and can make me use them in a way which I have not planned them for. I am planning to sell this cow next year and use the money in paying school fees for my child who will be joining high school.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will bring joy to my family since it will help to uplift our living standards. I will use the money to start a small business which will in turn help me provide needs for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning. This is the time i go to the river to fetch water and in the process, meeting with my neighbours and chatting with them on my way makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is lack of money to start a business. I am always passionate about starting my own small business which will help reduce poverty in my family but due to lack of capital, i have not been able to realise my dreams.
