How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than how it would have been had I not received the transfer because I have been able to start a poultry keeping project. I will be using the income from the sale of surplus to meet our daily needs. Also, I have six goats that I can depend on in case of financial crisis since they can easily be converted to cash. In addition, these are assets to me that I never thought that I would ever own in my life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by supporting most people in the village and I do not see anything that they do not do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought a dairy cow worth KES 30000 using my transfers and also spent KES 6000 to buy some poultry feeds. I settled on this so that I can be using income from from dairy farming to pay school fees for my children. In addition, I spent KES 3000 to pay school fees for my children since I knew that they would be sent back home anytime if I didn't pay. Using the remaining amount, I bought some food and household items for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a single parent with 3 children, one is in primary level. I have been desiring to give them the best education and also enough basic needs. I started small bussiness of milk trade to sustain them and has been doing good. In three years time the two children will start going to school and I am projecting the current income I have will not be enough. Incase I received this transfers I will boost my bussiness so that by the time they start going to School I will not strain alot.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the mid morning when I am interacting with my customers as well as they buy my products. This makes me happy because I know at the end of the day I will have some income.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Lack of stable income has been my biggest hardship. Before I started the small bussiness I am running now, I was employed as a maid though she was paying on time it was not enough to raise a family of 4.
