What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent 7000 KES of my third transfer on buying 2 goats to rear in my home; bought a sofa set since I had no seats in my home; then used the balance to pay school fees for my child in secondary school.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different because of the transfer, since I have been able to buy cattle and constructed a kitchen thus I nolonger suffer during the rainy season about where to cook from. I also bought a solar lighting system thus I don't have to buy paraffin on a daily basis.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
All the work was well done, that enabled us to receive money that has assisted us to get what we lacked.

I spent my first transfer to buy a gas cylinder at 4,800 KES, used 4,700 KES to add more stock for my shop then bought 10 kilograms of maize at 4,000 KES.

Am planning to spend my upcoming transfer to build an iron roofed kitchen then use about 15,000 KES to pay my own bride price.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Am planning to use part of the money to expand my shop business, then apply for electricity with some and plaster the floor of my house and finally pay school fees for my children with the remainder.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is building this house since I was homeless and used to live in a small rental house but right now I have my own house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have ever faced in my life is paying school fees for my children in secondary school. I have three children in secondary school and it is very hard to pay school fees since I don't have a stable income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when am sitted on my sewing machine doing tailoring.
