How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Had not I received the cash transfers, my life would have been miserable. I would not have acquired all the property that I have now. My child would not be studying and I would be struggling with alot of debts.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to help my family with the cash transfers. On my side, there is nothing wrong that I can say about GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 500,000 ugx to pay off my old debts and 950,000 ugx was spent on purchasing a cow. I also spent 100,000 ugx on my child's school fees then the balance was spent on food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, am now happy because I have been in position to own 2 cow, which will reproduce and help my in the near future with paying my children's school fees. I have better kitchen utensils and bedding's that I didn't have before.

The moment I received my money, I became very happy and thanked God for Give Directly.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for purchasing 2 cow at 1,200,000UGX, and the balance of the money I bought bedding's and kitchen utensils.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means constructing a nice looking iron roof house for my household. This will enable us access better shelter.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Evening time is my happiest part of the day. Being together and chatting with my children during this time of the day, makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is lack of enough money to construct an iron roof house for my family.
