What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to built a kitchen. Bought two goats. Purchased some chairs. I also bought other household items with the rest of the money.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have a good and stable house compared to the one I had which was in a sorry state. I could not manage to built a better one because I didn't have any meaningful source of income.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it give us an opportunity to change our lives to the better. At the moment, I'm not sure what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the transfer on buying 30 pieces of iron sheets 21000 KES,nails 4700 KES, labor 6000 KES, solar light 7000 KES,1 chair 7000 KES,poles 2000 KES and used the balance on daily meals.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference i have seen in my life is that i am now in a good spacious house which is very clean.

I spent my first transfer on purchase of a goat (3,500 KES), seat cushions (3,000 KES) and clothing for my children (3,000 KES)
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money, I became very still and stony faced on the outside in order to keep the information confidential, while on the inside, I was almost bursting with joy since the transfer was timely for us as a family as we had many problems including we were going to sleep hungry that night..

I am planning to buy household items.To change the roofing of my house since it's leaking,and to save the rest for my children.

My husband left me in a thatched house but I tried and build an iron roofed house and today I have my own home.

The biggest hardship I have is raising my children as a single parent without a stable job and without any help from anywhere.

My happiest part of the day is in the evening when I am resting after work.
