What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I got married to this family in the year 1987, I gave birth to my first born in the year 1988. The joy of being married was not to last as it was cut short by the illness of my first son. He did not look well right from birth and this made me live in worry all that long. I had no support from my extended family and I just watched my son grow from worse to worst. At the age of two, my son could hardly walk. It is at this time that I gave birth to my second child who did not enjoy good health as well. My son lived for only seven years and passed on. This was not the end of my tribulations, I continued nursing my second child until he passed on at the age of two. This was coupled with my husband who at one time felt so sick too. That was the most difficult part of my life. I am however grateful that all the other children are in good health.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when all the days worries are over. This is the time that I can relax and have a good time with my children.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
For a long time, I have had numerous plans in my mind about things I could do to make my home happy and a better place to stay in. I have always desired to have a bigger home that can accommodate all of us and make us happy. Receiving this money would mean that I would actualize some of these plans which would otherwise have remain dreams as usual. I just thank God for having got this blessing at around this time.
