I invested a portion of the transfer in crop farming. I bought two cows worth 27,000 KES. Besides I paid my daughter in private primary school fee.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now own a large house. I had a small house which couldn't contain all my belonging as such was being forced to keep some of my items at the neighborhood. Apart from that, I no longer sit on straight stools because I bought a soft sofa set. To crown it all, I'm expecting to commence getting free milk because my cows are expecting and will deliver soon.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD does well is that it give money bit by bit. This give room for proper planning. At the moment I'm not aware of what GD doesn't do well.
