How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
When the project began, we had only one cow, but so far, we have managed to save and buy one more that already had a calf. This is a great difference in our lives because buying even a cow is not something that we would have managed to do at this time without the support of Give Directly due to our low income.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
We are still living in my in-law's compound but our main wish is to move into our own compound by December this year, so we have agreed to keep buying the required building materials bit by bit each month using our transfer to meet this goal.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
At the beginning of this year, after saving my transfers for a while, I was finally able to buy a solar lighting kit that we now use in our house for lighting. This has brought a great difference in our daily lives as we no longer use the kerosene lanterns that produced lots of smoke yet were very dim. My entire house is now well lit and my children can now comfortably and clearly read at night. My daily budget has also gone down because do not have to buy kerosene on a daily basis as I did before.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope that in the next six months, we will have moved into our compound and constructed a bigger house than we have now. Our tradition demands that when a man attains a certain age, he should leave his parents' compound and move into his own. This is currently stressing my husband because he needs to move out soon but does not have enough resources. I hope that the transfers will enable us to buy the required materials in time so that we move out in December.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I had no livestock before, but with the help of these transfers, I have managed to buy a cow which has been a great achievement for me because I know this is something I would not own in a very long time without the help of GD.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
We are planning to move into our own compound by January next year, but before this can happen, my husband has to pay my dowry as tradition demands. After completing the payment on the sofa sets that we are currently paying for, we will start saving for the dowry payment ceremony. It is usually a very costly affair, that is why my husband and I have decided to make the saving together to achieve it faster.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have managed to use these transfers to buy a solar lighting system in the past few months which has greatly improved my daily life as my house is now properly lit and my children can read and do their homework night with much more ease. Before I bought the solar lighting system, I was using a kerosene-lantern which was very dim and very costly because I had to budget for kerosene on a daily basis.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope that in the next six months, I will have brought home the seats that I am currently paying for which will make my hosue more decent than it is now. I also expect that my dowry will have been paid by then so that we can proceed with other plans of moving out of our in-law's compound into our own.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am currently facing a big hardship of feeding my family, the area has gone dry for quite long and getting food is hectic and their prices are high too.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning when my family has got the grace to wake up safe and healthy.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to use part of the transfers to pay dowry, start a business for daily bread and to build a house in my own compound.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
I'm proud of constructing the house that we currently stay in, this is because I depend on casual jobs that sometimes earn me cash or nil but ended up saving little money out of that and today I own a shelter.
