How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, I never had the goal of purchasing a land in Monrovia. Since I started receiving GiveDirectly's money I decided to buy it. I intend to move back to Monrovia in order to continue my education. I will build a house on the land and move to the capital permanently.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is doing well by giving us free money which we are using to make our lives better.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my money to buy a plot of land, pay my tuition and food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"When I receive the transfer,I will invest in my business. I sell pepper and cube in the town presently, but the profit is not much because the goods are small to take care of my family needs.I have always wanted to add other goods to what I'm selling currently, but I don't have the finances. Investing in my business will help me to get more profits to support my family,I will buy other goods to add to what I'm selling and that will increase the profit".
What is the happiest part of your day?
" What really brought joy to my life in the last 6 months was when my oldest brother sent me a big of rice on Oct 25. My family usually buy rice by cups every day which make us to eat insufficient meals. When my brother sent the rice ,I was so happy because it stopped me from buying rice by cup lately, and I'm using the money I'm supposed to buy rice with on other things our family needs".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"The major challenge I'm facing now is my health. I had a C-section during delivery few years ago,and the wounds have reopened ,which causes so much pain in my stomach lately. Some days I can't be able to do anything for myself and can't even go out to buy goods to sell. My husband is a motorcyclist and he's always on the traffic,so when my stomach is paining, taking care of my son can be so difficult. Before the C-section ,I was strong and would do anything to support my family, but now I'm limited and can no longer do hard work. My family now have to depend on this little business I'm doing at home and the money my husband makes from the traffc".
