Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Apart from the monthly savings, I have been through the merry-go-round, I have a new goal in the next four months to buy a heifer. I have been contemplating for such a long time to start a livestock farming but sourcing lumpsum finance to start it has been hard. Now that my turn to receive the table banking accumulation, I feel it is the right time to purchase at least a heifer.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
It is my happiness to have completed a new house thus I have room to plan for other goals in my family. In the next four months, I plan to join a merry go round as a saving plan to help me pool some money. I have a plan of buying new household items like furniture and beddings to replace the old ones we have thus pooling some money on a monthly basis will help me achieve my goal in the near future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Having a new decent house to me is the biggest difference in my daily life. I had no hopes of constructing a new house for myself due to inadequate resources. I have lived in a pitiable condition due to the pathetic situation of my house. It was getting small to comfortably accommodate me and my siblings. I am thankful to GiveDirectly for financial assistance. Currently, I am so happy I have constructed a new house. I managed to purchase enough building materials which include iron sheets, poles and paid a carpenter to construct. I feel this is the biggest difference in my daily life since I currently live comfortably in a separate room with my siblings.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect an improved living standard. I expect to have fully furnished my new house and to have bought new beddings thus will have a comfortable place to spend my nights at. I expect raising my daily household needs will be much easier since will spend more of my income on having completed what has been pressing me.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I now have a new and bigger house and this has brought comfort and satisfaction in my life. I have also been able to meet most of my basic needs without having to struggle or ponder on where I can get the money for various uses. The poultry project that I started shall also bring me more income in the long run and make the cost of living much more affordable for me. This is how my life is currently different from how it was four months a go.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any new or additional plans over the next four months except to improve on my newly built house. I want to make a small extension of my new house since I have plans of getting married soon enough. The proceeds I get from GiveDirectly shall be of great assistance to me in making me realize this. I plan to do this over the next four months.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
When I started receiving these transfers, I saw it fit to join a merry go round that was started by GiveDirectly beneficiaries in our village. The merry go round contributions saw me get KES 10000 and this money was used to build a new house. For a long time I have been living in a very small house that was too uncomfortable for me and a little too embarrassing to be associated with it. I have had a burning desire to build a new house but the little amount of money I got from my casual job could not enable me to save up for this and at the same time meet my daily basic needs. I am now a proud owner of a brand new house and I am so indebted to GivDirectly for making this happen.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change over the next six months in that I shall improved my poultry keeping project. I just started this project recently and I have not been able to reap any profits from it. I want to use the monthly transfers to improve on the stock, build a poultry house and buy feeds for the chicken. This project shall definitely bring forth a difference in my life and be a gateway to initiating other new and bigger projects.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Now I am so happy seeing my mother living in a very good two-room semipermanent house. Now she can get clean water which she harvests from our iron-roofed house, therefore, she no longer gets to go to neighbours place to fetch clean water for domestic use.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
It' is now my new goal to build my own house where I would live on my own. At the moment, I and my three brothers occupy a single-roomed old house which was built for us by our parents. The house is not spacious enough to accommodate all of us and feels that I should have my own house. I intend to save my next transfer to enable me to build a good house where I can enjoy my own privacy and enough space.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that we built a new house for our mother. Before she uses to live in a grass touched house which had a leaking roof and during a raining season, she would suffer from pneumonia. I am now happy that we have a new house and am no longer ashamed to take my friend home as before I would fear to take them as the house had was in a poor condition.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I would have built my house an would start saving to buy a heifer. As a young adult, I wish to own some livestock which will enable me to pay for dowry when I will get married. I will have bought at least one heifer and will be living a happy man knowing that the future is well set to start a family.
