What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent better part of my transfer in finishing the construction of my house which I had began but failed on the way due to shortage of funds. I am now so happy because my house is fully constructed, something I never expected at all because for almost a year, I could not raise the finances towards the same.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on buying a wooden door 2000 KES and school uniform for my three children respectively 1850 KES. I also bought bags of maize 4200 KES and other perishable foods 1900 KES .
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I received my first bunch of money in the evening resting in my house , upon seeing the message verifying that the money was truly sent ,I felt very happy and overjoyed since in my mind I knew I was going to get money from GiveDirectly but I did not expect it at that point in time or day.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I burn charcoal for a living and its not a good business for a village that relies solely on using firewood as means of cooking, which means most days i come back home empty handed
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the morning, because its a new day and my family woke up in shape and healthy
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I recently built a new home which, obviously is not fit for human use. I cannot sleep peacefully at night because am always worried wild animals might attack me and my young kids any time of the night. Whenever it rains never at peace because suppose it rains heavily, my house will be swept off
