How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The cash transfers enabled me to reclaim my farm land after clearing a heavy debt burden. I am fortunate that the cash transfers empowered me to acquire livestock that I never had before. Incase of any emergency, I can sell one of the livestock. Prior to receiving the cash transfers, I had one small piece of farm land that could not yield much. In addition to this, I was helpless, with no property such as livestock.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well to send unconditional cash transfer that enabled me to clear my loan. This enabled me reclaim my farm land.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My second cash transfer was spent on payment of a loan and part of it was spent to purchase a cow. I bought two goats.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Basically, being able to own a bicycle is the biggest difference in my daily life as it helps me a lot in transportation in terms of taking children to hospital when they get ill, fatching water since the spring is is really far. The bicycle and carry more water than just carrying one at a time, going to grind as the grinding mill is really far and generally any other transportation that comes up. Before, transportation was really an issue as I used to wait on some one to help me with their personal transport means to run my errands.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt really happy the moment I received my money. This is so because I had never had a chance to hold an amount as this.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on buying livestock such as two bulls and two goats(Ugx 1000000 and 100000 respectively). I bought agricultural inputs such as a hand hoe and an ox plough ( Ugx 250000). I also bought a bicycle (Ugx 250000). I hired garden land (Ugx 100000).
