Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Previously, we had only one small mattress that I shared with my wife and child which gave us uncomfortable nights. When I got the money, I bought a bed and bigger mattress that is spacious which has given comfortable nights. Secondly, I have bought bricks that I am intending to be used for constructing an iron roofed house and I expect to complete the house with the second transfer. I am currently sleeping in a grass thatched hut that leaks whenever it rains.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was overwhelmed my joy the moment I received my money, because I knew it will facilitate my planned construction.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my transfer to purchase 2 mattresses, a bed, 2 pairs of bed sheets and a blanket. In addition, I bought bricks that I intend to use for construct an iron roofed house. I have not yet spent UGX 700,000 but I am planning to spend it to pay construction workers and buying materials.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to build an iron roofed house. The one that I have leaks the fact that it is grass thatched. This will provide a better shade for my family making it safer to live in. I will also buy house hold items for my home. This will make the house beatiful. There will be no shame in hosting visitors.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the noon time when I am seated with my wife. We tell stories which encourage both of us.This usually happens after we have had lunch.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of money to build a better house for my family. I am poor and all that I do is casual labour which earns me very little money that can juts feed the family for a day. I can not save based on my income and yet there are better things that I would also wish to do.
