What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
The first thing I will do when I will receive the transfer is to buy mattress because i don't have matress. It will cost $30. The other thing is to renew my house, as I will have to cover it with sand and cement, these activities will cost $100. I will also buy clothes and school items for my children that will cost $50. Again I will buy some food stuffs that will cost $50. The other thing I am planning to do is to buy a land so that I will have my parcel to cultivate and it will cost $400.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The first thing that makes me happy is going to church, when I am praying I feel happy and satisfied. The other thing that brings me joy is when we have food at home, when my kids are safe, no one is sick I feel happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge I am facing is that I don't have land to cultivate. When the agricultural season come I have to find someone who can give me land with the conditions that I will cultivate, use my own inputs like seeds and manure, and at the end we will share the production. Therefore, you understand that compared to the efforts I have put in those activities the yield is not sufficient, reason why I want to have my own land so that I can have enough production from it. The other challenge is that we can't eat the kind of food we want, we often eat beans and cassava or yams because they are affordable yet my kids want some expensive food we can't afford like meat and rice and it affects me as I am always wish to have money so that I can buy for them the food they want. Sometimes I tell myself that when will get money, I will give them what they want even if they can eat them once and feel satisfied, it will be enough for me.
