What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent most of my third transfer to pay school fees for my child who is in high school I bought two sheep which will reproduce to give me more livestock and also I bought household items which I did not have before but have always longed for.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now live in a bigger house as compared to the one I was living and also I now have livestock which I did not have. I would not have had all this without the transfers, thank you GD.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by sending transfer directly to recipient and not through the administration. I have not seen anything they did not do well.

I spent my second transfer to build a 2 room house for my children for 27000 KES, 3400 KES i spent to buy a wheelbarrow, 13000 KES i spent to buy 7 seater chair, 5000 KES i spent to pay school fee for my children and the remaining cash i spent on daily household expenses.

The biggest difference in my life is the house have built for my children, they are now safe at night.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent 3,000 KES to pay school fees (secondary school), paid a deposit of 4,000 KES for a solar lamp and bought a sheep for 1,500 KES. The rest was spent on buying food.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am planning to construct a new house for my sons who do not have anywhere to comfortably spend the night.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to use my transfer on my son's high school education. I also plan to purchase household furniture and start rearing livestock for ploughing and so that in future I can be able to raise school fee for my children.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that my son has made it to high school due to my hard work. I made sisal twines that I sold and enrolled him in school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face in life is that I survive by making sisal twines and it's affecting my health because it's a hard job that strains my stomach.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I am through with the day's work and has earned some little income for food and school fee.
