My house is in a bad state, I'm always worried when strong winds blow by. It can be blown and injure me with my grandchildren inside. I'll give priority to repairing it. I'll need new iron sheets, wood, cement and other construction materials. Albeit their high cost, I must start with the house. Spending about $500 will give me a good house. It will reduce my worries and let me sleep in peace.
Additionally, I have two grandchildren in school. Will set aside about $50 for their schooling. To ensure further stability, I plan to add more goats. They do well here, multiply faster and easy to manage. I will set aside $300 to buy about five goats. In the future, they will help in sustaining my family.
The rest of the transfer will serve as emergency funds and to also buy food. Food is expensive and hard to grow due to the hot climate.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I have three goats, I milk them to prepare tea sometimes. It's a joy seeing them grow and come back home well fed. It's easy to keep them since we have enough vegetation. I'm optimistic that someday it'll be a big stock. This will help me support my grandchildren's education.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My house has been eaten up by termites. They have destroyed most of the wooden structure inside. I'm always worried it can be carried away by strong winds or even rained on. This means most of the time I'm on the look out. It has affected my ability to sleep in peace. Even when my grandchildren come back from school, I'm worried about their safety. It's very expensive to build another house, and I'm old. Where will I get the money?
