How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if i didnt receive the money in way that i now own a sugarcane plantation of 2 acres and i hope by 2020 i will be able to earn between 5-6 millllion shillings until 2024
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly does well in transforming people's lives to a middle income status where we can afford the basic necessities of life, so far there is nothing that GD does not do well

I spent my second transfer on buying a sugarcane plantation at 750000shs, i bought a mattress at 120000shs, i spent 160000 on buying Urea, i spent 15000 on insecticides, i spent 500,000shs on labour for my sugar cane plantations, the rest i spent it on transport

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I sleep like a king, i no longer buy paraffin in my house because of the solar i bought, i no longer spend money on charging the phone because my solar charges it and the mattress is what i sleep on now.

I felt too much happiness to receive such money, i had never received such money in my life and that chance only came from Give Direct

I have hired land at 1,200,000 for growing sugar canes, solar at 100,000 with two lights, 3 plastic chair at 66,000, a blanket at 45,000, bought a trouser and shirt at 40,000, a radio at 25,000, two pairs of bed sheets at 24,000 and a Kilo of meat at 10,000, white star bar soap at 4,000.Am planning what to use with the balance

To me receiving this money means being able to pay bride price for my girlfriend so that I officially make her my wife.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I am listening to the radio after working. This helps me relieve stress.

The biggest hardship I faced in my life was getting an accident and losing some of my front teeth.
