We spent 17,500 KES to buy bricks, sand for 16,000 KES, building stones for 7,000 KES, ballast for 4,500 KES and transport cost was 7,000 KES. (added money from other sources)
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Since we have bought most of the materials with transfer from GD, we are certain that we will build a permanent house as our current house is old and with rusty iron sheets and dilapidated walls.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy sand with the first transfer, the second transfer will be used to buy bricks, cement and pay a construction worker who will help build us a house. We will then use the third transfer to buy a power saw which we will hire out.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having been able to finally have my own homestead. In our culture having one's own homestead is a status symbol and those living in their parent's homesteads are looked down upon. Thus nowadays I can proudly walk in our village.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of enough money to pay school fees for my children and life has also become very expensive and difficult, we can hardly afford basic amenities for our family
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up and I see the sun shining brightly in the sky.
