How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different in that, I have been able to meet my daily needs and most of all, we bought a cow that will produce and help us in the future. In the past, we lacked most of the basic needs and life was a shame, simply because we never had money to buy them.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give directly has done well in helping the poor people with such an enormous amount of mount that has done wonders in their lives. According to me, Give directly has not done anything bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer on livestock and household goods. In addition, I used this transfer to pay medical bills and buy food for the family.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have my own business which will enable me save some money and support my family.

The moment I received my money,I felt very good.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer to start my own salon (hair dressing) business at 500,000ugx,bought building materials (iron sheets(8) at 200,000ugx,timber (7) at 49,000ugx, clothe at 2000ugx ,sand 1 trip at 80,000 ,1 trip of bricks at 250,000ugx, cement( 5) bags at 125,000ugx,nails at 10,000ugx and the balance of 484000 I plan to use for building the house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When i receive this money, i am going to build an iron sheet house and start my own hair dressing salon because as per now am working for someone.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when i meet old friends and to know that they are healthy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced is the problem of improper feeding. Sometimes we lack money to buy food and we are forced to feed on seeds and attimes wild food.
