What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on completing the construction of my house which I had began using my second transfer. Other than that, I purchased some two goats to act as an investment of a portion of the transfer which may be of help in catering for my children's future education.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is so different today than it could have been if I never received any transfers because I no longer stay in the tiny house I owned before that made it so difficult to purchase any extra household item that one may require. It also motivated me in welcoming visitors at home as they could be well accommodated in the new house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has so well in ensuring that all the members of the village are censured and only the illegible recipients are sent transfers. This was done in a very transparent manner that left nobody crying for biasness.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
Initially, I was living in a tiny house that was poorly ventilated and poorly lit and therefore when I received my second transfer, I constructed a semi-permanent house of 35 iron sheets. It is wider enough to offer us the best accommodation we needed and again, it looks attractive. I feel elated in spirit due to this accomplishment, courtesy of Give Directly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Since I started receiving transfers from Give Directly, I have seen an upward shift in my farm production. I have been using the money to rent more farms and diversified my production from subsistence to commercial farming.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy sand, cement, timber, round poles, nails and iron roofing sheets which I will use to build a better house for my family. The remaining transfers will be used to pay school fees for my son who is supposed to join secondary school next year.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having worked as a farm hand for many years and after diligently saving my earnings for a while I was able to buy some goats and also build my current house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of a sustainable source of income, I rely on odd jobs but these are not always available, so at times my family cannot even have basic necessities like three nutritious meals a day.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening if I have managed to get something to eat.
