Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have been in position to pay my children's school fees with ease and on time with the transfers and because of this, I constructed an iron roofed house with the money I got from the harvest. I would have not construted the house if I had not got the GiveDirectly money because priority would be to pay the fees.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy when I got the message on my phone. I knelt down to thank God for using GiveDirectly to change our lives.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 1,000,000 of my first transfer for paying school fees and buying school requirements for three of my children. I bought 2 mattresses, clothes and shoes for all family members. We also spent part of the money on purchase of food

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Givedirectly transfers will enable me Educate my children. Iam dependant on crop farming for fees but this is never reliable due to soil infertility since is over used . I will pay school fees for my children studying in Primary and secondary schools such that they are able to have brighter futures. This may allow them pass well and get jobs to manage their familys.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My favourite part of the day is afternoon hours. I chat with neighbours on how to increase our income generating activity through savings after coming back from garden work. This is making me feel physcological free.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of enough money for Educating my children. They are so much sent home for fees and this is affecting their academic progress.
