What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the whole of my second transfer on buying building materials (cement, sand, balast, steel door and windows) which I used in renovating my house which was almost falling.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the pride I have for having managed to renovate my house after six years of shame staying in a shoddy house.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on paying school fees for my son in secondary school. I am happy as this has reduced his arrears.Using the remaining amount, I spent on food and buying bedding for myself as the ones I had had worn out.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer,I was so happy. It had taken so long and I thought I had been forgotten by GiveDirectly until I saw the Mpesa message.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to repair my house with the transfers that I will receive since currently it's a mud house but I want to cement it. Secondly I plan to use part of the transfer in settling school fees for my child who is joining form one next year

My most proud proudest achievement is being able to educate my children despite being a widow with all the challenges of not having a steady income

The biggest hardship I have faced in life is the death of my husband which left me a widow
