What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying building materials that I used to build a new house. The house I had before collapsed after as it had been so weak and worn out. I also paid school fees for my children in secondary school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly does well by giving cash to the less fortunate directly to them. I have not seen anything they have not done well in so far. I also paid school fees for my children in secondary school.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different from it would have never been it not for the transfers, first, I could have never stayed in a decent house like the other people around me. Secondly, my children could have dropped out of school of were it not for the money. They could have been shepherds in the village. A very embarrassing kind of life.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on Secondary school fee (16,000 KES), and constructed a 2-roomed house which is incomplete ( 22,000 KES) and bought 2 bags of dry corn for family consumption.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I felt great joy since I knew I could sort myself out of School fee debts and start other Projects.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have faced so far is not being able to educate my children through secondar school.most of the time they are chased away from school due to lack of school fees
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evenings when I am able to share a meal with all my family members as we share our days events
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money makes me the happiest man on this earth right now because finally I will be able to fulfill most of my life's dreams that were impossible before due to lack of resources
