How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I have bought a permanet asset(farm land) that will benefit not just me but even my great grand children. I am in the process of constructing a pit latrine that will improve my sanitation. Before I got this money, I had a small piece of land to farm.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to give me unconditional cash transfers and to sensitize the community members during each visit to be aware of fraudsters. There is nothing they are doing wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 1,000,000 of my second transfer for completing payment of land. I used UGX 132,000 for constructing a pit latrine and saved UGX 500,000.
