Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I am implementing an idea that I have been having for a long time. This has been running alongside other smaller projects. We started a group of ten members which we have been contributing a total of 300 KES every 3 weeks, and every time we do that we have been buying chainlink for every individual with a plan to start a poultry farming.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is the increased plantation of tea on my farm. All along I have been replacing those which never sprout and the one which has been destroyed by the pest. In line with the tea plantation project, I am also in the process of developing other seedlings in the nursery bed which I will be transplanting to the field early next year. I am really grateful to GiveDirectly for the great support they have been offering us all this long.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have fully established the poultry project since it needs less money compared to other running projects.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The biggest difference in my daily life is the new tea crops that I have planted to recap my plantation. I bought about 600 seedlings that are already established to maximize production on my 0.2 acres of land. The crops are doing so well and I was only able to do this through the help I got from Give Directly. My farm is well established and I am sure of reaping profits for the longest time possible. This means I am a big beneficiary of this organization.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I plan to plant more tea seedlings on my farm. I was recently shown my portion by my father and I want to start making use of it. I will use the money to buy some ready tea seedlings. The money will also help me establish a small tea seedbed which will also be a source of income in the next year. I thank Give Directly for considering young adults in this program
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
As a young man, contributing to my household's efforts to meet daily needs is very satisfying. I no longer feel like a burden, I feel I am responsible and worthy because I also contribute towards the well being of my family. I always use part of my monthly transfers to assist in buying foodstuff that can last us for a month. Four months ago, the only contribution I could give was working on my father's farm. However, I am currently contributing cash as well as labor in meeting our needs. I feel that I am a better person now.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have a well-established poultry system. I have already started saving towards it. I will have to build a poultry structure and bought chicken. I also have to start looking for potential markets where I would sell my chicken. I believe I will be a successful business. If all goes well, I will be getting a daily income from the sale of eggs and sometimes chickens.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I now have a house. I have been sleeping in my neighbor's house for many years and I am now glad that I have built my house where I can sleep comfortably. I used the money I got from merry go round to buy iron sheets, nails and timber. Thank you Give Directly for the cash transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal for the next four months is to start a poultry project. I decided on this because chicken are not expensive to maintain. This project will be a good source of income since currently I only depend on my daily wages since I am employed as motorcyclist. The money I am paid by the owner of the motorcycle is not enough to cater for my personal and other family basic needs. This poultry project will therefore earn more income to cater for personal and household needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I used to go sleep in neighbor's house. I was not comfortable since every time his sons come for holiday, I had to go to another neighbor to sleep with his son. This has always been the trend for the past many years. Thank you Give Directly since I used my transfers to build a house and I can now sleep comfortably in my house.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have a stable source of income from the poultry project. I am planning to start this project using the money I will get from merry go round. I am also planning to save some money I will get from motorcycle business and add to the income I will get from my poultry project to buy a dairy cow. This will therefore produce enough milk for the family and I will thus save the money I would have otherwise used to buy milk.
