What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I spent 23000 KES on a cow and invested the rest in a general shop. I am happy to serve customers every time I interact with them since I started the business. Again, I am motivated to start milking before the year ends.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because, currently, I live more comfortably-I sleep on better bedding as opposed to sleeping on ragged ones and mats, I sit on more comfortable couch as opposed to having none and lastly, I started a business-a general shop which is my source of income and through the business, I am now employed-fending for my household members is no longer such a big challenge.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what Give Directly did well was serving us with a lot of transparency-it promised us money and we received the exact amount but I was not pleased with the fact that it was only in 3 batches. I wish it could be a basic income for a longer term period just the same way it is done for the elderly.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy sofa seats for my sitting room to replace the old broken chairs. I also gave my wife a part of the money to start a business in the village of selling daily household items. The remaining amount was spent on paying school fees for my son in secondary school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that the family now gets daily income from the shop that was opened and this has enabled us to easily buy food.
