How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I now have a new house. I used to sleep in a tinny house and life was not good at all.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Giving me the money to plan for myself how to use it is what I liked so much about Give Directly..
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought 2 trips of bricks at 200000, I also bought some 20 iron sheets at 260000, doors and windows at 400000, i also paid for some 20 bags of cement at 600000. The balance was 140000 which I paid for labour to the builders.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I had a ramshackle house but now a going to have a reasonable and good looking house courtesy of Give Directly.

I was so happy but lost of words at the same time.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought 5000 bricks at 500,000Ugsh for building my house, I paid labour for construction at 280,000Ugsh, I bought Iron sheets at 322,000Ugsh, I paid for transport at 165,000Ugsh, I bought 8 bags of cement at 248,000Ugsh. I also bought 2 trips of sand at 160,000Ugsh. I have a balance of 250,000Ugsh which am planning to use for buying timber to roof my house.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is my children's weak health since two of my children were born and are still struggling with pneumonia.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning whenever my children wake up alive and well. Because of their weak health, i am never sure about what the next day will be like for them.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Recieving this money means i will be able to construct a descent house since my current house has very old roofing and weak walls.
