How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that in that, I have got back my 2 acres of land and own oxen that have enabled me plough my land in time, I couldn't have got back my 2 acres of land and Oxen had I not received this transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done well to give me money which has enabled me address all my needs, and Give Directly has not done anything bad on my side since many people in my community who received have acquired different assets.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for clearing debts totaling to UGX 1400,000 and I was able to get back my 2 acres of land, I renovated my hut at UGX 220,000 and UGX 12,000 spent on food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I am now a happy person, free of stress.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my cash transfer, I lost sleep and sat a wake until morning trying to plan how to spend my cash transfer.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I used it for buying two bulls which costed 1,000,000ugx which I intend to use for ploughing gardens for easy crop cultivation. I also bought a bicycle worth 160,000ugx in order to use it for transport within the household, paid tuition worth 200,000ugx and gave my husband 200,000ugx to use for purchasing personal effects. I then went a head to buy a blanket worth 65,000ugx to improve on the living conditions. I then used the balance of 75,000ugx on food, scholastic materials and other household items.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to pay school fees and bulls for ploughing.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when no one has yet hurt me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge I face is lack of oxen for ploughing and this has made me have low crop yields that can't feed my family
