Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
It has become easy for me to provide for my family since I received the money, my children are happy because I can afford food and pay their school fees. Before, I could involve all my family members including children to do casual labour for survival.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The money brought happiness in my life. It was unbelievable and will be in history. I asked God to bless GiveDirectly and those who donated their money for us.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used my first transfer for paying a debt of UGX 500,000, school fees of UGX 100,000, bought grass thatch at UGX 260,000, timber of UGX 200,000. I used UGX 400,000 for making bricks. I bought utensils, blanket, 1 pair of bed sheets and curtains at UGX 108,000. The little balance was spent on food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means my children's school fees will be paid early, and I intend to buy two cows that will act as an asset to be sold when there's need for money. At present, my children are not at school due to inadequate money to pay fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when my children return from school and give me good company at home.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship faced in my life is inadequate money to educate and feed my children.
