Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save money to buy tea seedlings. This project will earn me an income in the long run. I will be in a position to sell the tea leaves to the tea factory and get some money to support my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have in a position to pay school fees for my grandson. I depend on small scale farming to earn an income to meet the daily family needs including paying school fees for my grandson. The amount of money I get through this is so small and is only enough for the basic needs. My grandson used to be sent home to collect the school fees and this was affecting his performance in school. He could stay home for a long time because I did not have ready money to pay. Currently, I have been in a position to pay the school fees on time and my grandson is no longer sent home like before. His performance in school has improved compared to previous results. I am so happy because my grandson is in school and working so hard for better results.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have saved enough money to buy more tea seedlings. This is the only project that gives a higher rate of return compared to other farming projects that exist in our area.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I intend to use the next four transfers to pay school fees for my son in a secondary school. Because I am getting the transfer , my son will go through his last year of school smoothly. I hope he will do well in the end.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the completion of the shop that I am building. I have been constructing a shop on my middle land in a busy shopping center near home. I used the money to buy cement and to pay for construction labor. With this shop ready, I will be earning rental income form the person who will occupy it for business.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have begun getting rental income from my shop that I am about to complete. It will be ready for occupation when I spend the next transfers in constructing shelves. I am going to be using the income to pay school fees for children in school and to meet household needs in a better way and in a good time because it will paid to me on a regular way, once every month.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I have been able to have enough rest. Nowadays I can plan myself and ensure that I balance my working hours and also have time to rest. I no longer cultivate my farm on my own since I can now afford to hire people. This makes it more efficient and cheaper because they can finish a large area of land within a short time and this has increased my agricultural produce because everything is done on time. This has made life easier and better for me.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any additional or new goal in life. I want to focus on building the rental houses that I started building recently. I am planning to use one of the rooms as a shop and rent the other two rooms to people so that I can earn an income through it. I am glad because I am growing and expanding my sources of income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to pay my workers easily. I used to strain my self to raise their daily wages but life became better when I started receiving transfers from Give Directly. They have enabled me to save a lot from the sales of my farm produce. This, in turn, enables me to invest more and accomplish most of my projects. I recently started building three rooms in one of my plots. To me, this is a very big move that I did not expect to start soon.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I believe that my life will have changed. I will have completed building my rental houses. I will use my transfers and the bonus I will be paid in November by the factory to complete this work. Once I finish this project, I will no longer worry about formal employment anymore. I hope all goes well and things move as planned. I attribute all these achievements to Give Directly because were it not for them I would not have gone this far.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Looking back to the past four months, it is very clear that there is a great difference in my life. The life I was living was so hard that I could not afford to plan any tomorrow. All plans would start and end during meal times since my wife and I would always wake up every morning to think and work hard to see that we put food on the table for the family. All this changed when we started receiving transfers. Thinking so hard of where the "daily bread" will come from is a story of the past. We have gotten plenty and we are even able to plan ahead. We have projects up and rolling which at the end of the day we are sure of a better tomorrow. Thanks to GiveDirectly for making this happens, we are assured of a better life in the future.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
At the moment I don't have any new goal since I am going on with the initial project of construction of a shop with two rental rooms in our household. I have decided to spend all the transfer I am receiving and to concentrate on this project since I don't have any other source of income to diversify the expenses. Since the beginning of this project, I have been using part of my transfer in buying bricks, nails, and woods, and the other part in saving for the roofing materials. I am hoping to complete the construction by the end of July so that I start focusing on another new goal.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My past life was a real operation in debts until GiveDirectly came into my life. I would borrow both from the shops in terms of goods and money and also from my neighbors. When I received GiveDirectly transfers, it took us three good months to clear all debts after combining my wife's transfers and mine. That gave us relief and time to plan our own future with our own money. It gave us peace of mind and even rejuvenated the lost peace with my neighbors. I now have confidence with GiveDirectly that I can even take anything in debt being sure that I will pay when I get paid by GiveDirectly. Shopkeepers also have built trust in me since they have understood how GiveDirectly operates. This to me is the biggest difference in my daily life. Stress has drastically reduced and I am laying down my plans with ease knowing that I will deliver on them.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
As per our projection as a family, we see ourselves completing the construction of the project we started in the next five months. This to us means a lot since the two rooms meant to be rentals at the back of the shop will be ready to be used. This great push to complete the construction is due to the high demand for residential spaces in our village at the moment. This has been brought about by the developing school in the neighborhood with teachers who cannot commute every day. We are seeing this as a great opportunity which will see us being tenants in the next six months. This will also open sources of income to our family which in turn will boost our daily life standard and give room for other investments.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Our household is and has been a well known household in our village. this is not becausee we have done alot of good things to make people want to know much about us but because of the great borrowing mentality that we had. it reached a time when we were under obligation to pay almost halt the village their debts which was becoming too much for us. this situation forced us to sell the only cow that we had in order to try and reclaim the lost respect from the villagers and for the next few months before GD came in we were struggling too much to make ends meet. buying milk ecvevry day using the little proceeds from the casual labor was not that easy. It then became a relief when GiveDirectly came in with the transfers wheich we are still receiving every month. most of our problems which includes sorting our basic needs and education for my children came to an end. our life compared to the last four months now is very stable and we are even happier as a family. No mopre debts and no more borrowing, our respect and friennship with the villageds was restored.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have so many new goals at the moment but top on the priority list is to ensure that I clear every term's school fees for my children. Before I started receiving the transfers, my children were always chased home fromschool which I never saw it good as a parent. it has been an embarassment to them also both in school and at the village since most of the students who were competing with them ins school were settled from the first to the last week of the term. I promised myself to ensure that \i work harder when I received the GiveDirectly transfers knowing that was the only was to make my children proud and also motivated in school. The goal so far ha been successful and \i am hoping and prfaying that thing s will run as smooth as it is now.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Ithas been hard managing all the farms \i had with the little outcome that i was getting from the small piece that i was able to till. I had managed to purchase some plots over time but all were not in use tdue to insufficient capital. It was not until I could get the other source of Income could I start making goood use of the plots. Thank you to GiveDirectly for making this happen after getting several transfers which After accumulating I have been able to fence one of them. This is the same farm which has seen a lot of development and the bihggest difference I have seen in my daily life is the greeen growing 450 tea seedling which i have managed to plant over the few months. This number is an addition to the other 3000 plants which I had alreadyb planted. This has been the grratest milestone in my life and I am still hoping for more as I continue receiving the transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
our household is highly motivated currently and ready to work every other time since we started receiving the transfers. I have realized that the only thing we needed was a little support and that is exactly what GiveDirectly gave us. we recetly stsrted construction of a nenw house in our household and it is our hope that in the next six months we will have completed. the construction have been a bit slow since we are sourcing the construction materials as we construct which have now been characerized by an on and off progress.
