What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 600,000 ugx to pay for my two children's school fees at a primary boarding school. Then I also hired a garden at 200,000 ugx and I bought a solar at 120,000 ugx. I also bought a pig at 120,000 ugx , then the balance of the transfer I am spending on feeding the family and clearing other daily bills.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Personally givedirectly did well to help me because I did not have any financial support for my family. I had a lot of debts that I was able to settle with the cash transfers. However we still have many needs and I cannot say it is givedirectly's responsibility to cater for all of them. So there are no wrong doings I can say where givedirectly may have failed.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The difference in my life is that I am happy that my children are studying and I can afford food for my life. Had I not received this money I would still be in jail because of numerous debts that I had accumulated.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i am faced with is lack of oxen. This forces me to always go borrowing yet if i had my own, it would be easy to plough and weed in time and good yields in the end.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the noon time when i have had a meal.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means i will be able to buy oxen and an ox plough to better my agricultural productivity.
