What does receiving this money mean to you?
I bought this piece of land that I am currently living on, this is a small piece of land and not enough for me to do extensive farming to enable me to earn a living. When I receive this money I will prioritize buying another piece of land with KES 50000. This will give me humble time to venture into agriculture and cut the cost of leasing land. Furthermore, I will also consider using KES 30000 to add another cow and boost milk production thus taping more income through the sale of milk. To avoid perennial food shortage in my household I will use the remaining money to stock maize grains and beans for domestic consumption.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I have been struggling to buy milk to feed my children, this was costly for me. Things were not easy now that I was relying on casual jobs to earn a living. Recently my husband bought us a cow, we are now milking and my children are eating healthy. Despite this, we are now generating an extra coin through the sale of milk. This is making me feel happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I depend on casual jobs to earn a living, this pays little money about KES 200 daily. This money is not sustainable for household expenses. This makes me strain a lot in providing for the family.
