What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to pay a visit to my in-law's after settling the dowry. I bought a wooden door and windows. I bought sand which I'll use to build my new house. I also purchased two sacks of corns and other household items.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I'm now legally married after settling her dowry. This means that she is officially my property based on our customs. In fact I was living in fear because anybody could just decide to pick her from me and settle her dowry then she become his wife but now, I'm confident and sure that she is mine for the rest of our lives.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it is too determined to reduce poverty level in the community. At the moment I'm not privy to what GD doesn't do well.
