What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I cleared college fees for my son with 20000 KES and spent the rest on 30 iron sheets. We are all happy and I now feel very contented-the construction of my new house is currently underway.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because I have managed to acquire a better house. My former one was grass-thatched and this was really inconveniencing me a lot-it was leaky and at the same time, there was no grass to thatch it. Secondly , I never had any bull to count under my assets but now I have one and this has really earned me a lot of respect and I am happy. Finally, I have managed to take enroll my son in a college to acquire skills that would help me in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what Give Directly does well is that it visits the poorest and give them help at their door step. But, it bothered non-participants so much. This was not suppose to be the case-non-participants should not be given a second chance.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I paid school fees for my son in a secondary school worth 20000 KES and spent the rest on building materials including 50 round poles, 7 Kgs of nails and 32 iron sheets. My son is currently in college and the construction of my main house is also set and therefore I have noticed an improvement in my life and steps I make generally.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have managed to keep my children in school a little longer than before. One of them is currently in college and the remaining 2 are in primary school. Despite the huge school fees needed to facilitate their education, I enjoy the best experience of a peaceful state of mind as opposed to before when I had to keep on running up and down, knocking the door of one bank to the other to foot their academic bills-all these were just frustration.

I spent my first transfer on purchase of a few house construction materials (iron sheets, poles and nails) and constructed a small hut on my own land to start me off in life (10,000 KES).
