How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is better because these cash transfers have enabled me to plaster my 3 roomed permanent house. I'm now sleeping in a clean house which I enjoy moping because of the smooth surface. Prior to these transfers, I suffered with constant cough and flu due to dust from unplastered floor.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done well by supporting us financially to plaster our permanent house. Before,my house was very dusty. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought build materials ( 16 bags cements, 3 doors, pipes) and labour.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The main difference in my daily life is that, I am happy because I am able to afford a balanced diet. I am grateful because I have renovated my house that is now specious enough. My house is no longer dusty because we have floored it with cement hence better living conditions.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received a message indicating that I had received my cash transfer around 7:00 am, I informed my spouse a bout it who joined me to thank God for the miraculous support in prayer. We then prepared and set out on a journey to collect our money on the same day.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 560000 for buying cement for renovating my house. I bought a metallic door, four windows and paid labour for the builders, all totalling to UGX 950000. I paid school fees worth UGX 18000 and the balance of 172000, I spent on buying food for the house hold.
