How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My conditions of living were demeaning because I lived a beggar's life. I could not plough on time since I depended on people's oxen. The owners could first work on their fields and mine was done later when rains have reduced meaning I could not get a good harvest. Now that I bought my bulls using GD transfers, I can plough on time therefore I do believe that this year I will manage to scoop a good harvest.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly in my opinion did well to liberate me from poverty. I managed to acquire livestock for ploughing. This money also enabled me hire land. In my view I don't see anything wrong done by GD.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I paid debts, used some for weeding, feeding and purchased household items. The remaining money I booked grass for thatching my house.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has changed because I have acquired oxen which I never had. This season I have also cultivated on time and I'm sure of good yields that is if the rains do not disappoint. Previously, I had to hire which was costly and more so I could cultivate late.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received money from GiveDirectly, I felt very happy because I was sure of buying oxen and renting Agricultural land which I did not have.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer on purchasing oxen for ploughing my Agricultural land worth UGX 1370,000, Labour for clearing Agricultural land worth UGX 100,000, rented Agricultural land worth UGX 1000,000, clothing / household goods ( pair of bed sheets) worth UGX 100,000 and food ( cassava flour) worth UGX 30,000.
