How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed because GiveDirectly has empowered me through the transfer that I got. This is because given the time my farm lands had taken without being got back, it was next to impossible to ever get them. Before getting this money, my plan was to farm (although on hired farm land) to be able to raise money to pay back. In addition to this, I am happy that I no longer have to hire farm land but the cultivate on my own.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly in my opinion has done well by uplifting people from the poverty that was seriously nothing. To me, it gave me money that made me to as well be recognized in my community given the things I have done (getting back my land after a very long period of time). On the other hand, there is nothing bad that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent part of my second transfer Ugx 200000 to get back my farm land that had been given out in exchange for money to treat me when I had fallen seriously ill. I then paid labor to mix mud that will be used to mold bricks at Ugx 150000. I hired oxen to plough in my farm and payed labor to plant maize at Ugx 80000. I then bought some household items such as utensils, mattress, wheelbarrow, and stocked food. I am saving up Ugx 700000 that I plan to use to start building my permanet house.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Compared to before when I used to beg for farm land to cultivate some food crops, I am now an extremely happy person because I was able to get back my land and farming on it freely. I am also happy because I see that the plan of having an iron roofed house is coming to reality since I already have started molding bricks and plan to buy iron sheets with my saved money. Hence, a biggest difference in my daily life.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money I felt so happy. This is because GiveDirectly had fulfilled its promise.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer Ugx 700000 to get back my land that I had given out in exchange for money that I used to treat myself at the time I was poisoned. I used Ugx 300000 to pay labor that helped me to mold bricks. I then used some of my transfer to buy some house hold items such as utensils, bed sheets, and curtains. I still have Ugx 600000 that I am saving up.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will repay the loan where some one took my two acres of land as Colateral. Right now I do not have enough land for agriculture and thus not enough food in my home. Some balance of the money I intend to buys bulls for ploughing.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon after my days work. I feel happy because I have accomplished my tasks.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is when I was poisoned. Alot of money was spent to try cure me. It is what led me to give my neighbour the two acres of land.
