What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I spent it on a cow, a donkey and food. I was lacking a donkey and a cow and being that my area is semi-arid, fetching water over longer distance was not an easy task. As we talk, I can say that I have somehow combated water related challenges since these my livestock help me a lot when it comes to ferrying water. After long day hard work, I can as well never go minus food to boost my energy since I have it in stock already.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received cash transfer from Give Directly in that, I have become drought resilient-I bought a donkey which helps me in ferrying water over long distances and I store it and above all, my health has improved due to balanced diet I have been taking since I started receiving money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am very happy with the way Give Directly alleviates poverty-they give us money and we decide where to spend it but I am not fully satisfied with the amount they gave us-they should add the poorest more money since most of our projects are still underway.
