What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I plan to build a brand new house with my first cash transfer and in preparation of that, I will start laying bricks and when I receive the cash, I will be able to purchase iron sheets, timber and a few bags of cement. Also, I would like to purchase a few bags of maize inorder to have sufficient food for my family..My husband, Madalitso relies on casual labour for him to provide for the family so it has always been a challenge to have enough food for the family. Lastly, I will be able to purchase fertilizer in preparation of the farming season that is around the corner..I feel like with enough fertilizer, I will be able to harvest more food in the end my family will be food secured.
What is the happiest part of your day?
One of the things that has brought me joy in the last 6 months is the birth of my new child..The addition of a new member to our house brought happiness as we have been waiting for her for a long time. Also, we had a church gathering in the last 6 months where by we were praising God by conducting a fasting while singing praises..This brought so much joy as I managed to thank God for all the things that he is doing for me and my children.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
One of the challenges that I am facing is that of shortage of food to carter for the whole household..I have 3 children so most of the times I fail to provide sufficient food to satisfy everyone. The second challenge is that of lack of a comfortable house..The house we are living in only has one room and it is not comfortable for both me and my 2 children to the extent that the children sleep at the sitting room. Furthermore, We are lacking proper body care in terms of clothing and beddings..It is so difficult for us to change clothes as we only have about 2-3 clothes..
