What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on buying a cow, seats, utensils and clothes for my children. I also bought a bag of maize and spent the rest on daily food consumption. I am glad to have bought the household items I have been missing.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is so much improved since I received the transfers. I have moved from a temporary structure to a permanent house I could not imagin of owning. God bless GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is very honest and transparent in their mission to uplift the poorest. They have kept their promises to all the enrolled households whose lives are now improved after recieving all the transfers.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We plan to build a house since the current one is dilapidated, this will involve buying cement and other building materials. We also plan to buy one dairy cow and a bull for ploughing purposes.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we're proudest of is raising our children to the level they are now. Raising a family when the source of income is not sustainable, is not easy.

The biggest hardship we face is lack of a sustainable income source, we rely on farming which due to drought has not been very much reliable.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I'm cultivating in my farm. In the farm we grow maize, bananas and sweet potatoes.
